Our Origins

Global Encountours was founded in 2019 with our first encountour on the mesmerising island of Zanzibar and tanzania. We partnered with indigenous people to create an encountour that celebrates key aspects of Zanzibari and Tanzanian culture. However, our ambitions are global and our aim is to work with indigenous people around East Africa to create encountours that give them a chance to say and celebrate their own stories whilst sharing it with the rest of the world.

During Kidichi Kitchen Local Tour, I experience local cooking practices, and trees with their useful and organic fertilizer. Kidichi trip was an amazing place, I was so excited to be there. and deep inside I am learned a lot from there. But the most important part to add it will be super cool for you guys to practice permaculture cause it's natural, simple in practice, has high environmental protection and has so much wealth in it.

Such a great day from the market to harvesting the food, and all explanations about spices and different plants. Cooking in the local style was a great learning experience.
